Geodat AI is a geospatial data analytics company delivering mapping, spatial analysis, data engineering, and intelligent digital tools across sectors. Our name reflects the three core pillars of our work:

Geo

We specialise in data with a geographic component, applying mapping and spatial analysis to help organisations understand place. Our work ranges from clear, presentation-ready maps to interactive geospatial tools that support decision-making across sectors.

Dat

We design and build the data foundations behind effective digital systems. This includes data engineering, database design, and automated workflows that transform raw inputs into secure, reliable datasets powering dashboards, web applications, and operational decision-support tools.

AI

We integrate analytics and artificial intelligence into data solutions where they add genuine value. Our work supports the design and deployment of dashboards, web applications, and analytical tools that transform complex spatial and organisational data into clear, reliable, and actionable insights.

Geodat AI Ltd is a UK-based geospatial data analytics company specialising in mapping, spatial analysis, data engineering, and digital geodata solutions. We help organisations solve real-world geographical problems and generate actionable insight, delivering outputs that range from clear, high-quality maps to interactive dashboards and custom web applications. Working collaboratively with clients - and drawing on both open data and their own datasets - we turn complex geospatial information into clear, practical understanding.

Geodat AI Ltd was founded in 2025 by Dr Robert Berry, a geographer and data scientist with over 20 years’ experience in research, teaching, and consultancy in GIS and geospatial data analysis. Rob has authored or contributed to more than 50 academic and applied research publications and has delivered projects spanning academic research, government policy support, and applied consultancy, working with universities, public-sector organisations, and industry partners.

Our work is grounded in practical expertise, public value, and transparent delivery. Whether producing maps and visualisations, building dashboards and web applications, or developing data-driven and AI-assisted tools, we combine deep domain knowledge with strong technical capability. We use AI selectively to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, and accelerate development where it adds genuine value.​​​​

We work primarily with free and open-source software (FOSS), including Go, R, Python, QGIS, Docker, GeoServer, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS, alongside modern production-grade cloud infrastructure. This approach ensures solutions are flexible, reproducible, and future-ready. By avoiding unnecessary reliance on costly proprietary systems, we keep overheads low and pass those savings on to our clients.
